Experience and Qualifications:

Rachel is a respected and experienced practitioner within the acupuncture profession and a member of the British Acupuncture Council since 1993. She has covered a versatile and wide area of work during the past sixteen years; as a lecturer for an acupuncture college; in practice as a clinician, and ten years as a trustee and trainer for NADA-UK within the NHS and the voluntary sector. She also runs a successful private acupuncture practice in West London.

Rachel has trained in, and developed supervisory and mentoring skills for others in the acupuncture profession. She has a great interest and passion for the therapeutic relationship and the interplay of dynamics between people, which she believes, are essential ingredients for success in facilitating growth and wellbeing both personally and in the treatment setting.

Her work within the substance misuse field began in 1994 at the Core Trust in London www.coretrust.org. Over a five year period, Rachel worked there as a clinician, group facilitator, detox co-ordinator and clinical director, her special interest being the NADA group treatment leading on to her work as a trainer and educator of this important and powerful intervention so beneficial as part of treatment used within community based programmes. Rachel holds an MSc from Westminster University which includes a study on the role and the impact of the NADA protocol at the Core Trust.

Training is provided on a regular basis in Central London (see training page for dates and venue), plus ‘in house’ training on request for staff teams with a minimum of six people.
